Unique artist renderings in oil, watercolor, pastels, acrylics, sculptures and photography

My introduction into fine art began under the tutelage of my wife, Jean: an internationally award winning sculptor and member of the National Association of American Pen Women.  I have studied with renown two and three dimensional  artists, ie., Charles Ellis, Claude Hulce, Yin Li Luverne Lightfoot, Yvonne Louthan and Ginni Annis.  I have completed excellent workshops in sculpture, watercolor, oil, pastels and woodcarving.  I gleaned from them what was needed and pursued  my own chartered course  In 1996, after an extensive career as a Homicide Investigator, I began this new and exciting journey into the art world.

A somewhat realist painter, allowing the viewer to have an in-depth view of the natural beauty around us.

I enjoy painting “en plein air” Nevada and California landscapes.  One of my most favorite places is along the Truckee River in Nevada and the Yuba River in California.  I have completed a series of over 35 paintings of the Truckee River.  I enjoy working in all mediums, but my favorite is three dimensional (sculpture and woodcarving).  I was honored in having paintings selected by Stremel Gallery to be in the permanent collection of the Renown Healing Arts Collection.
